Retail News- Coca Cola Urges UK To Be Greener
Posted by Deborah Read on Monday 26 October 2009 in Finance
You may have seen the adverts, you may not have, but Coca Cola is urging the UK to recycle, with their 'Keep It Going. Recycle' campaign. Packaging accounts for the largest proportion of the companies carbon footprint. Recycling the empty Coca Cola cans, the company can reduce it's carbon footprint by 40%. Although we are in the middle of a credit cruch, we should all be concerned with green issues and reducing our carbon footprints. I think this campaign for recycling will be like any other- most people will think it's a good idea, some people will do it, some people won't. Call me cynical but Coca Cola will look good whatever the result as they've tried to encourage green issues amongst consumers. I hate to get on my soap box but if everyone did their little bit we would be better off and make a bigger difference when it comes to preserving the environment. Recycle bins should be more accessible and people should get tax breaks for the green policies they implement and increased tax for those they do not. Do you recycle? Will you recycle your Coca Cola can after seeing the 'Keep It Going. Recycle' campaign? Let us know your thoughts! Subscribe to VoucherSeeker Voucher Codes Blog by Email
