1910- British Airways forerunner company, Aircraft Transport and Travel Ltd (AT&T) launched the world's first daily international scheduled air service between London and Paris.

1949- British European Airways emerges (BEA)

1950s- The 1950s is now the passenger jet era.

1952- BOAC flew the Comet 1 to Johannesburg halving flight times

1960- Air Transport Licensing Board formed in 1960 ensured that more airlines emerged. BEA acquired a number of these.

1974- BOAC and BEA merged under the British Air Board, and the separate airlines come together as British Airways.
